Arvilla T. Coons, 71, died in Blackford County Hospital late Saturday after a lengthy illness.
Her second husband, Samuel Coons, died in 1978.
Surviving are two daughters, Madonna Egly, and Carolyn (Mrs. Harold) Stover, both of Hartford City; a son, Harry Slentz Jr, Muncie; four stepdaughters, Becky Clem and Eanna Christruson, both of Fort Wayne, Janet Russell, Frankfort, KY, and Roslyn Strong, Joes, CO; two stepsons, Kenneth Coons, Fort Wayne, and Steve Coons, Auburn; a brother, Henry Needler, rural Hartford City; a sister, Alma Lake, Hartford City; 15 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; several step grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 2 pm Wednesday in the Keplinger Funeral Home with Rev. Lynn Bruce officiating. Burial will be in IOOF Cemetery.
Calling hours at the funeral home will be 3 to 9 pm Tuesday and before services Wednesday.
