Arthur L. Swardson, 71, a resident of Williamsburg for the past 11 years, died Mon, Nov 6, 2000, at his home.
Mr. Swardson lived in Chicago, IL, prior to moving to Williamsburg. He was a retired Chicago Firefighter, and owned and operated Calumet Plumbing in Chicago. He enjoyed sailing.
He was born in Chicago Mar 28, 1929, the son of Arthur C. and Marie Bolhuis Swardson. On Feb 13, 1978, in Frankfort, IL, he married Geraldine Baker, who survives.
Besides his wife, he is survived by sons, Dale (Mary) Swardson of Munster, IN; Thomas (Arline) Swardson of Indianapolis, IN, John (Jan) Swardson of Valparaiso, IN; and Lee Swardson of San Francisco; daughter, Sue (Ron) Bakker of Demotte, IN; stepsons Gary Baker of Boomer, WV; Jerry Baker of Omaha, NE; and Michael (Denise) Baker of Highland, IN: Stepdaughter Deborah (Bob) Osburn of Huntington, WV; half brothers, Thomas Durkin of IL and Gregg Durkin of FL; 10 grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Nov 13, at the Drumm Funeral Home in South Holland, IL. Rev. Kenneth Doss officiated. Burial was in Memory Lanes Memorial Park Cemetery in Schererville, IN.
