Arthur Poe of White Lake; June 30, 2009; age 70; born September 16, 1938 in Pontiac, MI. Son of the late Robert and Vera Poe. Husband of Ellen Poe. Father of A.J. Poe and David Poe. Brother of Barbara Aldrich, Walter Poe and the late Fred and Robert Poe Jr. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Mr. Poe served in the U.S. Navy and was a retired teacher from the Waterford School District. He enjoyed football, golfing, model trains, genealogy, traveling, and American History. A Celebration of Art’s Life will be held Friday, July 3, 2009, 1 pm at Donelson, Johns and Evans Funeral Home, Waterford. Interment to follow at White Chapel Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday 3-5 and 7-9 pm. Memorial contributions may be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
