Arthur E Grockau, 82, of Kalkaska, died Wed, Mar 7, 2001, at his home.
He was born in Detroit on Sep 22, 1918, the son of Max and Marie Kull Grockau. He married Margaret D Jameson in Reno, NV on Oct 22, 1941.
Mr. Grockau resided in Warren until seven years ago when he oved to Kalkaska County. Prior to his retirement he worked as an electrician and owned a bar and bowling recreation center. He served in the Army Air Force during WWII, and was a life member of Land O'Lakes VFW Post 8684. He enjoyed his family, fishing, hunting, gardening and outdoor sports.
Surviving are his wife Margaret; son Bruce (Dolores) Grockau of Fraser; daughter, Dianne (Tom) Gruse of Kalkaska; sister, Jannette Frazier of Kalkaska; grandchildren, Christopher, David, Alan, Machelle, Dawn, and Melissa; and great grandchildren, Brett, Blake, Robert, Alexis, Jillian and Alyson.
Brothers Walter and Harold and sister, Irma preceded him in death.
Funeral services were Mar 10 at the Wolfe Funeral Home in Kalkaska; Pastor Bob Stark officiated. Burial was in Coldsprings Township Cemetery, Kalkaska County.
