Arnold H. Kambly, M.D., born April 11, 1916, in Battle Creek, Michigan, died in Novato, California on October 19, 2003.
Dr. Kambly attended the University of Michigan, at Ann Arbor, where he obtained his medical degree. He served in the U.S. Army Medical Corps, during World War II, was board certified in neurology and psychiatry and practiced neuropsychiatry in Michigan. Dr. Kambly served as Medical Director of the Kambly School, which his parents founded. Dr. Kambly moved to California in 1984, where he obtained a law degree. He worked for the Department of Corrections from 1990-2000, and worked in private practice in Fairfield and Vacaville. He retired in 2000.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Jeanne McDaniel.
His survivors include his first wife, Virginia, and their three sons, Arnold, Paul and Steven Kambly, as well as his cousin, Barbara Freeman, niece, Stephanie Wirt, nephew, Kambly McDaniel, and wife, Anne Marie. Dr. Kambly enjoyed his friends and colleagues, the outdoors and travel.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, November 1, 2003 at Bryan-Baker Funeral Home with a reception immediately following.
