Arlene Lois, age 62, of Flint, died Tue, Dec 23, 2003 at Hurley Medical Center. Services will be held 11 am Fri, Jan 2, 2004 at Maranatha Baptist Church, 3408 Miller Rd, Flint with Dr. Roy E Shelpman officiating. Interment will be held at Sunset Hills Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 pm Thursday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Rd Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd, Swartz Creek.
Ms. Bishop was born Mar 12, 1941 in Flint, the daughter of Harold and Dorothy (Fuller) Bishop. Sher retired from the U.S. Postal Service with over 30 years of service. She was a member of Maranatha Baptist Church where she sang in the Choir and was the leader of a women’s Bible Study group in the community where she lived. Surviving are: mother, Dorothy Bishop of Laingsburg; three siblings, Larry Bishop and wife Carol of Swartz Creek, Joan and husband, Alan Chandler of Lovelock, NV, Pastor Rick Bishop and wife Rita of Laingsburg; aunts, nieces, and nephews. She was preceded in death by: her father, Harold Bishop.
