Ardath E. "Ardie" Derrer, 72, loving wife and mother, went to her home in glory on Fri, Apr 9, 1993.
Mrs. Derrer was a lifetime resident of Mancelona, and she was a homemaker. She enjoyed knitting, sewing, doll making, playing the organ, bowling, and watching television.
She had worked at Circuit Control in Bellaire. She was a graduate of East Jordan High School in 1939. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Kalkaska.
On Sep 19, 1920 she was born in Mancelona to William and Josephine (Mitchell) Moore. In Kalkaska on Jul 10, 1954, she was married to Robert Derrer.
She is lovingly survived by her husband Bob; children, Meg (Ron) Tiller of Shelbyville, Linda Mosketti of Grand Rapids, Chuck (Maxine) Harlan of Holland, Mary Jo (Paul) Teel of Clovis, NM, Betsy (Marv) Batterbee of Mancelona and Bob and his finace Shelly of Mancelona; 12 grandchildren, eight great grandchildren; one sister, Josephine Hanes of Cambridge, OH; many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one son, Jimmy Harlan, and two sisters, Marvel Watson and Lucille Culbertson. She will be missed by her many friends.
Memorial services were held on Sun, Apr 11 at the Paullin Funeral Home in Mancelona with Rev. Ted Turanski officiating. Memorials may be directed to St. Paul Lutheran Church or the charity of one's choice.
