Anthony "Tony" Peter "Pete" Barkovich, 67, of Fife Lake, died on Fri, Feb 15, 2002, at his home.
Tony was born on May 14, 1934, in Detroit to Steven and Laura (Dosevich) Barkovich.
Tony was married on Aug 25, 1956 to Mary Rodemsky in East Detroit. The couple has lived in Fife Lake since 1997 when they moved from Mancelona. Tony was a member of St Mary of the Woods since 1996. He was a truck driver for B&L Hot Shot Trucking and loved fishing and hunting.
Tony is survived by his loving family including his wife of 45 years; Mary; his children, Loretta (Clark) Sandeen of Fife Lake, Paul (Doris) Barkovich of Bellaire, Rose Eakins of Rapid City and Allen (Paula) Barkovich of Fife Lake; sister, Elaine Benkovich of Flowerville and his brother Victor Barkovich of Frankenmuth; 12 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Tony was preceded in death by his brothers John and Steve and his sisters, Mary, Vicki, Helen, and Laura; and his children Steven, Pammela and Joseph.
Visitation was held Feb 16 and 17 at the Wolfe Funeral Home. The Mass of Christian Burial was held on Feb 18 at St Mary of the Woods Catholic Church. Interment will be at St. Anthony Cemetery.
