OBITUARY – Mr. and Mrs. Herbert E. Parker received the sad word Sunday of the death of their oldest daughter Mrs. Anna Foland, wife of Earl Foland of Lansing, who passed away at a hospital in that city of peritonitis that morning.
Mrs. Foland and her family had planned to come to Grayling for Thanksgiving, but instead sent her parents word that she was unable to come on account of illness. She entered the hospital Wednesday.
Mrs. Foland, who was formerly Miss Anna Parker was born in Beaver Creek township. She grew to womanhood in this county and resided here up to a few years ago when the family moved to Lansing.
Surviving besides her husband are two small children, a daughter, Mildred Margarete age 7 and a son Earl Leroy age 5, her parents, and three brothers and two sisters, Claude Parker of Lansing, Mrs. Axel Peterson, Edward, Grace and Milford at home. Mr. and Mrs. Parker and Mr. and Mrs. Peterson left Sunday to be in attendance at the funeral.
