Mrs. Anna Jean Compton, 63, of Kalkaska, died early Sun, May 24, 1992 at the Kalkaska Memorial Health Center.
Mrs. Compton moved to Kalkaska County in 1957 from Flint. She was a graduate of Michigan State University, and taught in the Grayling Public Schools for many years to her retirement in 1976. She enjoyed cats.
She was born in Caro, on May 2, 1929 to Earl and Anna Coler Taylor. On Nov 22, 1952, in Flint, she was married to John D. Compton who survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Geneva Sisson of Rohnert Park, CA, and Rebecca Sorenson of Fremont, OH; eight grandchildren; and many great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Wed, May 27, 1992 at the Wolfe Funeral Home in Kalkaska. Lacy Stephan officiated. Burial was in Elmwood Cemetery in Grayling.
