Albert N. (Jack) Dew, 79, of Rapid City, died Fri, Feb 28, 1992 at Munson Medical Center.
Mr. Dew retired as office manager for the Peerless Pattern Works in Detroit in 1977, and had been a resident of Kalkaska County since 1985. He was a member of the Elks Lodge and St. Mary of the Woods Catholic Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening.
Mr. Dew was born in Oscoda County on Mar 1, 1912, son of the late Albert C. and Sadie Brown Dew. On Jul 16, 1938, in Dearborn, he was united in marriage with Irene T. Morris who survives.
Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons, John (and wife Marsha) Dew of Houston, TX and Thomas E (and wife, Gail) Dew of Ann Arbor; one daughter, Mrs. Jeff (Mary) Main of Rapid City; one brother, Chris Dew of Sackets Harbor, NY; one sister, Louise Knepp of Fairview; and seven grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Cameron and Harry Dew, and two sisters, Persis Hager and Mildred Dew.
Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Tue, Mar 3, 1992 at St. Mary of the Woods Catholic Church. Father Patrick J. Barrett officiated. Burial will be in St. Mary of the Woods Cemetery.
A scripture service was held Monday at the Wolfe Funeral Home in Kalkaska.
