Andrew G. Wilson, 62, of Falmouth, formerly of Kalkaska, died unexpectedly Jan 20, 1993 after being hit by a falling tree while cutting wood.
Mr. Wilson was born Feb 4, 1930 in Saginaw County. He was married to Betty Brandt Apr 5, 1952 in Saginaw, and she survives.
He was a truck driver, construction worker on the oil pipe line and had owned the Moddersville Store for many years. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict, serving in the Navy and was a member of the Marion Blue Mountain Post 6015. He moved to the Moddersville area in 1972 from Kalkaska.
Surviving besides his wife, Betty of Saginaw are eight children, Chester and Francis Wilson of Clute, TX, Ruth (Mrs. Melvin) Justice of St. Pauls, NC, Kay (Mrs. Kenneth) Seabolt of Kalkaska, David and Darlene Wilson of Lake City, Kim (Mrs. Mike) King of Cadillac, Sandy (Mrs. Terry) Cain of Charlotte, Jerry and Kim Wilson of Falmouth and Margaret Wilson of Cadillac; brother James Wilson of Manistee Lake; two sisters, Thelma (Mrs. Tim) Nosek of Saginaw and Beatrice Sherbert of Mancelona; 17 grandchildren, nine step grandchildren and one great granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by two sisters and his parents.
Funeral services were held Sat, Jan 23 at the Burkholder Funeral Home in McBain, the Rev. Gayle Wilson officiating. Military graveside services were held by the Marion Blue Mountain Post 6015at Moddersville Cemetery East.
