Alvin W Oudman, 65, of McBain passed away at Mercy Hospital on Dec 8, 2003.
Mr. Oudman was born Jan 11, 1938, in McBain to John and Nellie (Bronkema) Oudman. He married Judy (Cooley) Allen in McBain on May 29, 1976.
He was a member of the Northland Community Church and had been a dairy farmer before going to work at Biewer's Sawmill in McBain where he has been employed the past 15 years. He enjoyed camping, fishing, gardening, and was an avid bowler in his younger years.
He is survived by his wife, Judy, of McBain; children, Lori (Bruce) Jewett of Jasper, Darin (Sandy) Oudman of Cadillac, Sandy (Tim) Brown of Gaylord, Dawn (Ron) Jacobs of Cadillac, Daniel (Shelly) Allen of Cadillac, Sandy (Ken) Wiltzer of Marion, Kenneth (Gwen) Allen of Kalkaska and Sue (Roger) Monhead of Kalkaska; 20 grandchildren; a sister, Elnora (Don) Mulder of McBain; brother, Robert D Oudman of McBain; in laws, Linda (Jack) Marshall, Larry (Linda) Cooley, Kathy (Chuck) Payne and Karen Cooley, all of Cadillac; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Nellie Oudman, and father in law and mother in law, Marshall and Ethelmae Cooley.
Funeral services were Thu, Dec 11, at the Northland Community Church with the Rev. Randy Jenkins officiating. Burial was in Lucas Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be given to the American Diabetes Association.
Arrangements were made by the Burkholder Funeral Home in McBain.
