Alvin B. Schelske, 76, of South Boardman, died Thu, Oct 1, 1992 at his residence.
Mr. Schelske was employed at General Motors for 21 years prior to his retirement 15 years ago. He enjoyed bingo and shop work.
He was born on Aug 21, 1916, in Kalkaska County, to Lewis O. and Nora Bell Schelske. On Dec 22, 1945, in South Boardman, he married Reatha Beckwith, who survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Cecil A. Schelske of South Boardman, and Daniel L. Schelske of Fife Lake; two daughters, Doris Baughnan of South Boardman, and Beatrice Griffith of Washington; two brothers, Floyd Schelske of Pontiac and Ernest Schelske of Muskegon; four sisters, Eva Bailey of Jackson, Annabell of Clarkston, Edna Baker of IL, and Edith Clark of South Boardman; 10 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Beverly Huntley, three brothers, Merlin, Albert, and Melvin, and one grandson, Rodney Allen Baughnan.
Funeral services were held Mon, Oct 5, 1992 at the Wolfe Funeral Home, Kalkaska. Rev. Danny Ingersoll officiated. Burial was in Lodi Cemetery.
