Mrs. Alice L (Quast) Long, 70, of Essexville, died Thu, Aug 20, 1992 at Clary AFC Retirement Home in Bay County.
Mrs. Long resided in Bay City until 1975 when she moved to Kalkaska County where she made her home until one year ago. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Kalkaska and the Lydia Circle. she enjoyed golfing and knitting.
Mrs. Long was born in Bay County on Jan 14, 1992 to Henry and Evelyn Ward Moultine. She was married to Bernard Quast in Bay City on Aug 29, 1941. He died on Oct 29, 1980. On Nov 14, 1987, in Washington she was united in marriage with Aubrey Long who preceded her in death on Jan 14, 1991.
Surviving are two sons, Rick Quast of Essexville, and Dennis Quast of Kalkaska; two brothers, Wilfred Moultine of Washington, and Robert Moultine of Bay City; one sister, Florence Smith of Washington; and five grandchildren.
One sister, Madeline Huntley, preceded her in death.
Funeral services were held Sun, Aug 23, 1992, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Kalkaska. Rev. Ted Turanski officiated. Burial was in Fairview Cemetery in Mancelona.
