Alice Joy LeMar Hollingsworth, 67, of CLC-University died of a lung ailment Wednesday at Mercy Medical Center. Services will be at noon Saturday at Hamilton's Near Highland Memory Gardens Funeral Home, with burial at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mrs. Hollingsorth was born in Des Moines and had lived here most of her life. She also had lived in Altoona. She was a homemaker and enjoyed family activities.
She is survived by two daughters, Gloria Wood and Marsha Clark, both of Des Moines; two sons, James LeMar Jr of Las Vegas and Doug LeMar of Des Moines; a sister, Ruth Bartlet of Des Moines; three brothers, Paul Shafer Jr of Zearing, Dave Shafer of Des Moines and Don Davis of Rocky Mount, MO; nine grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm today at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Unity Church or the American Lung Association.
