Mrs. Alice E. Hulbert, 86, of Kalkaska, died Fri, May 16, 1997, at the Kalkaska Memorial Health Center.
Mrs. Hulbert had been a lifelong resident of Kalkaska County, and was a former deputy county treasurer. She was a member of the Kalkaska Church of Christ, and a former member of the Farm Bureau and Garfield Grange No 1082. She enjoyed crocheting, quilting, and gardening.
Mrs. Hulbert was born in Garfield Township on Aug 11, 1910, to Lee C. and Clara Josephine (Cunningham) Crane. On Jan 26, 1930, in Lansing, she married Lester Hulbert, who preceded her in death on Dec 24, 1993.
Surviving are son, Gordon (Nancy) Hulbert of Fife Lake; daughters, Jean Lantzer and Patricia Hulbert both of Kalkaska; brother, Arthur (Barbara) Crane of Independence, MO; sister Clara (Kenneth) Long of Big Rapids; 11 grandchildren; and 26 great grandchildren.
Brothers, Charles and Clyde Crane; sister Joy Wagenschutz and granddaughter, Jean Evon Lantzer, preceded her in death. Funeral services will be held Monday at the Wolfe Funeral Home in Kalkaska. Lee Roy Lantzer officiated. Burial was in Garfield Township Cemetery, Kalkaska County.
