Albert W. Wood of Mancelona, passed away Tue, Apr 27, 1993, at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City at the age of 74 years. 

He was born in Springfield, MA, on May 3, 1918, a son of the late Albert William and Violet H. Brown Wood. He was united in marriage with the former Marcella Helen wood on Sep 9, 1943 in the Methodist Church in Shelbyville, KY. The couple made their home in Mount Clemens for 30 years and moved to Mancelona in 1978. Mrs. Wood passed away Nov 20, 1982 in Mount Clemens. 

Mr. Wood worked for over 25 years as a model maker and computer programmer at General Motors and retiring in 1980. He served in the United States Army during WWII in Central Europe. 

He is survived by three daughters: Mrs. Richard (Marcella Violet) Mitchell of Garland, Texas, Mrs. Albert (Nancy Ann) lKalinin of Harrison Township, and Mrs. Robert (Pamela Catherine) Waldowski of Romeo; one sister, Mrs. James (Joanne) Allen of Algonac, eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Besides his wife he was preceded in death by a daughter, Dolores E. Wood on Oct 19, 1983. 

Funeral services were held Sat, May 1, 1993 in the Will and Schwarzkoff Funeral Home, Mount Clemens. Rev. Robert Johnson, Pastor of Cornerstone Baptist Church in Roseville, officiated. 

Burial was in Clinton Grove Cemetery, Clinton Township. 

Memorial contributions to the Michigan Heart Association or the American Lung Association of Southeastern Michigan would be appreciated.
