Albert Headley, 85, of Kalkaska, died Jul 29, 2001 in Traverse City after suffering many years with Alzheimer's disease. He was born in Lakeview on Oct 30, 1915, the son of Sylvester Headley and Mary Miller. His wife, Vina, preceded him in death on Dec 3, 1995.
Mr. Headley was a WWII Veteran. He spent many years in the Harbor Springs area working as a woodsman until moving to Kalkaska in 1969. For the last four years he was a resident of Tendercare Nursing Home in Gaylord and the last few months a resident of Tendercare Nursing Home in Traverse City.
Surviving are sons Stanley R of Tacoma, WA and Samuel L (Ilene) of West Palm Beach, FL; daughter Dorothy J (Hassan) Restum of Traverse City; four grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were Jul 31 at Wolfe Funeral Home in Kalkaska; Dan Johnson officiated. Burial was at the Evergreen Cemetery in Kalkaska.
