Alan Floyd Gowen went home to be with his Lord and Savior Sep 12, 2008. He was 60 years old.
Alan was born in Fife Lake and graduated in 1966 from Kalkaska High School. In 1967, an automobile accident left Al wheelchair bound for over 40 years.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Gowen; his mother, Florance (Priest) Gowen; a brother, Stanley, and a sister, Beverly Eadie.
He is survived by three brtohers, Bill Schmidt, John Gowen, and Dale Gowen; three sisters, Shirley (Schmidt) Eadie, Helen (Gowen) Gray, and Roberta (Gowen) Reed; 25 nieces and nephews and many great nieces and nephews.
Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held Aug 22, 2009, at 6 pm.
The service will be Scott Mills Park in Kalamazoo, MI
