Alan Charles Hoag, age 69, of Sandusky passed away Sunday, August 19, 2018 at Sanilac County Medical Care Facility.
Alan was born March 8, 1949 in Sandusky, MI to the late Charles and Elna (Miller) Hoag. He graduated from Sandusky High School with the class of 1967. Alan married Jane Klohn on November 20, 1971. She preceded him in death on February 5, 1990. Alan was a farmer and drove a semi truck for years. He enjoyed reading, watching cattle auctions on TV, riding around watching the Amish farm, socializing and traveling with his buddy Ted Gibbs.
Alan is survived by three sons, Bret (Kari), Cale (Jen), and Dave Hoag; seven grandchildren, Max, Griffin, Cody, Chase, Taylor, Ameilia, and Grady; one brother, Dean (Kathleen) Hoag; one sister, Judy Hoag; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Nancy Nuanes.
The Family will receive visitors from 4-8 pm Wednesday, August 22, 2018 and 9 am until the time of service Thursday, August 23, 2018 at Marsh Funeral Chapel, Sandusky.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11 am on Thursday, August 23, 2018 at Marsh Funeral Chapel, Sandusky with Pastor Jerry Griggs officiating.
Burial will follow in Zion Cemetery, Watertown Township.
