Agnes (Covert) Marley, 83, of Wayland, and a former Mancelona resident, died on Wed, Jan 29, 1992 at St. Mary's Hospital in Grand Rapids.
Mrs. Marley had lived most of her life in Cold Springs Township, Kalkaska County.
She was a homemaker, and she enjoyed crocheting, baking, and canning. She was a member of the Nazarene Church in Grand Rapids.
In 1977 she moved from the Mancelona area to Wayland.
She was born in Lodi Township, Kalkaska County, on Jun 26, 1908 to Charles and Mary (Beebe) Smith.
In Mancelona on Oct 20, 1924, she was married to Clarence Covert, and he died in 1953. Later, she married Earl Marley in Chicago in 1966, and he died in 1977.
She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Al (Vivian) Ferner of Wayland and Mrs. Harold (Shirley) Baugus of Ada; two sons, Raymond Covert and his wife Rose of Grand Rapids and Robert Covert and his wife Midge of Muskegon; nine grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren; one sister, Stella Miller of Williamsburg; three sisters in law, Evelyn Smith of Rapid City, Hannah Larson and Helen Covert of Mancelona; and one brother in law, Frank Covert of Florida.
Funeral services were held on Sat, Feb 1 at the Paullin Funeral Home in Mancelona with Pastor Mark McCool officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Mancelona.
