Agnes J. Murphy, 68, of Kalkaska, died Wed, Apr 19, 2000, at her home.
Mrs. Murphy resided in Kalamazoo until 12 years ago when she moved to Kalkaska. She had been a volunteer worker at Kalkaska Area Interfaith Resources and Grayling Mercy Hospital. She was affiliated with St. Mary of the Woods Catholic Church, and enjoyed nature.
She was born in Grand Rapids on Apr 12, 1932, the daughter of William and Barbara VanHoeven Doody. She married Eldridge Murphy, who survives, in Grand Rapids on Aug 24, 1954.
Also surviving are son Bruce Murphy of Kalamazoo; brothers Robert Doody of Kalkaska, Jack Doody of Cascade, and Don and Bill Doody both of Grand Rapids; and several nieces and nephews.
Brother James Doody and sister Lorene Doody preceded her in death. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Apr 24 at St. Mary of the Woods Catholic Church in Kalkaska; Fr. R. Dale Magoon was celebrant.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or Hospice.
