Agnes E. Van, 79, of Rapid City, died Sat, May 1, 1999, at Munson Medical Center.
Mrs. Van had been a lifelong resident of Kalkaska and Antrim Counties, and was a bus driver for the Kalkaska Public Schools prior to her retirement. She was affiliated with the Rapid City Church of Christ and the Sunshine Guild. She was a member of the Rapid City Heritage Society, and enjoyed volunteering for many activities. Her hobbies included cards, painting, crafts, and her family.
Born in Mancelona on Feb 14, 1920, she was the daughter of John and Sally Hughey Henderson. On Nov 11, 1937, in Mancelona, she married Herbert L "Peanut" Van who preceded her in death on Jul 13, 1990.
Surviving are sons Richard (Margaret) Van, Herbert M Van, and Edward G. Van; daughters Sally (James) Dunson and Rhonda Vasher; brothers Alton (Dolly) Henderson and Arvid "Zeke" (Pat) Henderson; sister Arthella (Carl) Hinds; grandchildren Cindy, Van, Jennifer, Sherri, Terri, Mark, Vickie, Tricia, Christine, Debbie, Becky, Dawn, Tina, Tara, James and Bridgett; and 30 great grandchildren.
Son Gregg, brother Arnold and sister Alice preceded her in death.
Funeral services were held May 4, at the Wolfe Funeral Home in Kalkaska; Arvid "Zeke" Henderson officiated. Burial was in Clearwater Township Cemetery, Kalkaska County.
