Adella House, New London, age 95, died Mon, Oct 21, 2002 at St. Joseph Residence in New London. She was born Oct 4, 1907 in the Town of Liberty; daughter of the late George and Bertha (Raddatzz) Krause. Adella lived part of her life in Illinois and Michigan, returning to New London in 1974. She was a member of Emanuel Ev. Lutheran Church in New London and it's Ladies Aid. She was also a member of the Golden Agers and the Senior Citizen Club.
She is survived by a son, Jerry (Francis) Coppens, Pearland, TX; five grandchildren, Michelle (Jim) Whitley, Tracie (Todd) Moeller, Bryan (Brandi) Coppens all of Houston, TX, Peter (Debbie) Baker, Washington D.C., Bonnie (David) Marr, IL; four great grandchildren; a brother, Alfred (Irma) Krause, New London; step daughter, Marion (Willard) Laabs, New London; three step grandchildren and 11 step great grandchildren; a brother in law, Melford House, New Holstein; also nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, Otto Coppens in 1973; her second husband, Irvin House in 1986; a daughter, Carol Baker in 1963; four brothers and two sisters.
The Christian Funeral will be held Fri, Oct 25, 2002 at 11 am at Emanuel Ev. Lutheran Church in New London with Rev William Favorite officiating. Burial will be in Mosquito Hill Cemetery, New London. Friends may call directly at the church on Friday from 9 am until the time of service. A memorial fund has been established for Emmanuel Lutheran School Building on Faith Fund.
